new directions

After long consideration, I've decided to leave my position in Buffalo and set up shop full-time in New York. I'm looking to build a teaching studio in Brooklyn, and continue my performances in the city.

Good things are ahead this summer--recording work with ICE, travel to the Berkshires and Los Angeles, and I'll be inaugurating a new concert series in Red Hook. This series, called Music at Close Range, will mostly feature solo performances, and mostly older repertoire. This has been an idea in a back of my head for a long time, and I'm thrilled that I'm finally getting the chance to start it. Stay tuned for more details.

Also, Tony Arnold and I were just invited to be guest artists next summer at the International Summer Courses at Darmstadt next summer ('08), performing for Gyorgy Kurtag. Knock on wood, it will be an amazing opportunity.
