This is the end of a long stretch. November saw two big ICE events with which I was involved, both of which took a lot of energy: our Philippe Hurel portrait at Miller and the recording of Crumb’s Vox Balaenae. Both composers were very pleased, and both projects speak very well for all of us. We’re all just a bit tired now.
I also just got back from Buffalo, where I finished recording my disc of songs by John Musto with my great friend Alex Hurd. Alex and I are both confident this will be an important disc when it’s released (hopefully soon). Now I need to hibernate a bit, regain some lost health, and keep practicing. Love to all who have supported me through these last weeks.
