die Sonne steigt, die Sonne sinkt
I’m hard at work on all of my summer projects, including producing and editing the new ICE disc with guitar. The final sessions for that project will happen before the end of the month, with pieces by Mario Davidovsky and Dai Fujikura. Dan Lippel, ICE’s amazing guitarist, has been at the helm of the disc, and it’s on his label, New Focus Recordings. Many world premiere recordings, and the new Fujikura guitar concerto is really something special.
I’m also dealing with the heat in NYC–we’ve been spared until this week–and trying to take time to read, write, and compose.
